Brown Leather Shoulder Armour – Epic Armoury (Defiant Universe)

Product Description
Whether you're charging into battle or standing guard at a guild hall, this shoulder armor gives you both style and function. Made from full-grain vegetable-tanned leather, it features overlapping sculpted plates for strength and flexibility, while the sword-breaker ridge adds a touch of dramatic flair. Flattened leather cords and riveted accents complete the look for a hardened adventurer. Easily adjustable and wearable on either shoulder, this piece fits seamlessly with the rest of your Epic Armoury gear — or mix and match for a fully custom character build.
Drawing inspiration from historical medieval armor, this piece is a leather interpretation of traditional metal pauldrons used throughout the Middle Ages. Overlapping segments and ridged forms were used by knights and foot soldiers to deflect enemy strikes and protect vital joints. While this modern LARP version is more lightweight, it retains the visual intensity and battlefield utility of its historic predecessors.

Maintenance:
Natural leather products are highly durable, but they require regular care with leather maintenance products to remain flexible and extend their lifespan. Ensure your leather items are kept dry during storage. If the leather becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally before applying any treatments. For leather that frequently gets wet and dry, increase the frequency of maintenance to prevent damage.
Cleaning:
Remove Dirt: Use a hard brush to remove any dirt or debris from the leather surface.
Apply Leather Soap: With a clean, damp cloth, gently rub leather soap onto the leather until it appears clean.
Remove Soap Residue: Use a separate damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue.
Dry the Leather: Finally, use a dry cloth to wipe away any remaining water from the leather.
Conditioning:
Condition After Cleaning: Always condition the leather after cleaning, as soap can strip away some of the leather's natural oils.
Apply Oil or Polish: Use a clean cloth to apply a small amount of mink oil, olive oil, or beeswax polish. Gently rub the oil or polish into the leather in circular motions.
Soak and Wipe: Allow the leather to soak in the oil. Once absorbed, use a final clean cloth to wipe away any excess residue.
By following these maintenance, cleaning, and conditioning steps, you can ensure your leather armor remains in excellent condition, providing both protection and style for years to come.
